In the words of the owner and designer of Les Jardins Agapanthe “Often the words “curious”, “exotic”, or “magical” blossom from the mouths of visitors when describing them”. I would add electric, stunning, breathtaking – these gardens are simply the most staggering that I have seen. http://www.jardins-agapanthe.com/

Great structures, great greens, great imagination – quite a crowd.
Look how restful these large heavy stones make you feel – positively grounded.. and the simple hosta dominating the pathway – very clever indeed.
Wonderful steps and walling – very New Vintage. I think these would fit in well to any garden… put beside soft lush planting or even with naturalistic planting. Quite fun to have this in your London back garden?!
Here we have interesting shapes with soft greens defining the space. There doesn’t alway have to be a mass of colour to create a lovely effect.
The perpendicular pergola and the narrow path take you through to who knows where – the mystery is what counts here. To either side there is also a certain amount of unknown, just some shapes looming but very little to tell you how big or small the space is. Imagine if this was just a lawn, it would probably be very small.
An urn creating an interesting shape amongst beautiful planting. It almost replicates the structured hedging around it.
There’s grand and there’s simple – this says it all.
