Spring is nearly here (blackbirds in the garden and daffodils about to burst their little cotton socks) and Caroline Garland, garden designer, is ready to design your garden. This is the moment to look at your garden and decide that what you need is some sensitive professional help either with the design of your garden or with some clearing up after the winter and Caroline Garland can arrange this for you! Here are a couple of pictures to cheer you on. One is showing a fabulous, contemporary house on the shingle at Dungeness next door to the power station (that’s the cosy and warm bit) and the other is Derek Jarman’s famous Prospect Cottage (with the yellow window frames) which is right next door. Caroline and friends spent the week-end there in January and the cottage garden is a fine and inspirational example of a “dry” garden which has interest the whole year round using unusual plant combinations and creating imaginative and contemporary patterns with pebbles, wood, steel etc and incorporating “dry” or “Provencale” planting. You too could have a garden of interest the whole year round. Contact Caroline Garland and she’ll show you how!
