Never underestimate the pleasure of walking round a London park. We really are very good at our parks and as a plant lover there’s lots to see. We have dogs so we are always walking, walking, walking but never seem to get bored when there is Richmond Park, Hyde Park and Battersea Park within easy reach. At the moment Battersea Park is particularly interesting as the park gardeners have been doing a lot of work on the beds. They have planted loads and loads of plants – a mass of ground cover ivy, new daphnes, new mahonias, new magnolias etc etc. This is such a lovely time of year and now that we have some sun, don’t hold your breath, everything is pushing through.
