This is a suburban garden in Wandsworth which was really rather lovely, but had become tired, overgrown and most of the plants were woody and unkempt.  The clients had decided to have a completely new garden but keeping the rather traditional, vintage and pretty look.  We had to do dramatic clearance and apart from the lawn (which is currently trying to recover with a little help from some grass seed and a few extra turves) everything was taken out which included a terrace, all plants and a raised wooded platform with pergola at the end of the garden.  We made the terrace area larger, we put in gravel paths, we gave definition to the flower beds, painted the fences and added some higher trellising, put in pergola arches and built a low pretty wall to wrap around the seating area.
