This is a very small garden in Southfields that needed some raised beds (because of dogs.. you can just see him on the right). The client wanted a wild and formal look all at once in a very small space so I have put in Juniperus skyrockets, Buxus balls, Stachys and Hebes to give definition but have also added small geraniums, euphorbia, eryngium and lavenders to give a frothier/wilder look. This has only just been planted so we’ll go back in a month to see what’s doing best – no doubt the euphorbia and eryngium will do their usual thuggish “thing” but we’ll keep them under control – and the climbers at the back will need some help.
And here is the raised bed for the herbs – also very pretty. Let’s wait and see who wins here…
