We went to see Don Giovanni produced by the English Country House Opera at West Green House last night and what a wonderful evening it was! A picnic in the beautiful gardens by the lake of this lovely private house owned by the garden designer, Marylyn Abbott. I urge you to visit her gardens near

Wimbledon garden – beautiful planting!

This beautiful Wimbledon garden started off as a heavily “shrubbed” (mostly rhodies) and over grown garden. We stripped out a mass of stuff but still keeping some shrubs (and adding new prettier ones – camellias, roses etc ) for shape and definition in the winter. We have since put in lovely fronds of acers, heucheras,

This is a small tricky little garden (access was difficult – everything came over the wall!), we didn’t do much but we also did alot as the transformation is unbelievable.
